Just wanted to send a get well message for my friend, Lissa's dog Riley. He underwent exploratory surgery yesterday, to remove a trichobezoar. I'm sure your wondering what the heck that is!! So was I! Apparently it's an extremely persistent form of a hairball, that can form a gastrointestinal obstruction. But it's very rare, and Riley was very lucky to have it diagnosed and subsequently removed. Very lucky for an 11 year old dog...but we all know how hardy those Jack Russells are :) Get well Riley!

Riley is doing great and recovering well. The only problem is trying to keep him from playing ball since he is supposed to be taking it easy. Gotta love Jack Russells!!
Glad to hear he is on the road to recovery! It's amazing how fast they recover from such a big surgery :)
